The Blue and Golds will go on their travels this Saturday to Wigan St Judes (kick-off 2.30pm). St Judes are among the promotion favourites this season, having narrowly missed out last time, so a win on their patch would certainly set down a marker for the season.
Last weekends opening day win at home to Woolston Rovers was a good start but not achieved without cost. Tom Moor was the most serious casualty with a fractured cheekbone followed by ankle injuries to Luke Inglis and Bobby Howdle.
In a very physical encounter, there were a number of other knocks which will see Tony Spence awaiting news and probably delay naming his side until Saturday morning. On a positive note Lewis Poskitt will be available again following the completion of his suspension from last season.
